During the annual harvest season, hundreds of tonnes of raw coffee husks are left to decompose in landfill after the coffee cherry is removed from inside. Looking at these mountains of beautiful, organic material and no sustainable way to use it, the HuskeeCup creators asked themselves: “What can we do with this?” From there, they developed the concept for the HuskeeCup, a sustainable solution not only for coffee lovers, but also for the coffee production process itself. To create the HuskeeCup, we take all that organic waste and repurpose it by featuring the husks as a raw material in the cup’s design. Even better, HuskeeCups are tough and crack resistant, keep coffee hotter for longer and are dishwasher friendly!
