Edinson Noriega and his wife Yolima live and work on their farm, El Mirador, nestled in the hills of Los Alpes, Tarqui, Huila. Inherited from Edinson’s father 25 years ago, the farm reflects a legacy of dedication and expertise. For over two decades, they’ve refined their craft, combining tradition with meticulous care to produce coffee that truly represents their land.
Our import partners Nordic Approach have partnered with Edinson since 2020, sourcing through Coocentral, the leading cooperative in Central Huila. Coocentral supports close to 4000 smallholder producers, typically farming plots of 2-3 hectares, by offering training, technical assistance, and paying growers 100% of the premium paid above daily purchasing prices. Their ongoing commitment extends far beyond the cup - investing over $2.8 million since 2005 in social programs such as housing, education, healthcare, and farm infrastructure.
