Marysabel Caballero and her husband, Moises Herrera, are second- and third-generation coffee farmers producing exceptional coffees in the Marcala region of Honduras. Their work has earned national and international awards, reflecting their commitment to quality and innovation.
The pair's connection to coffee runs deep. Marysabel’s grandfather was a pioneer of coffee cultivation in Honduras, and his land has been passed down through his family. With Marysabel and Moises now at the helm, the estate encompasses nearly 200 hectares across 17 farms with a central wet mill. They take a detail-oriented approach to their farms and carefully document every stage of their work. They invest heavily in new equipment, experimental lots, and planting new varieties, all with the end goal of improving quality. This is a fabulous example of their innovative lots, with an extended fermentation stage under carefully controlled conditions to heighten the bold, fruity and vibrant sweetness inherent in the coffee.
