Pan de Azucar is the farm owned and operated by Orlando Beltran in the municipality of Garzon, Huila. The farm occupies 3.5 acres with half of it situated in mountain forest. Orlando’s deep rooted passion for coffee is grounded in family tradition, with many of his relatives involved in the industry. His farm has enabled him to provide opportunities for his family, and he is immensely proud of Pan de Azucur and what he has achieved there.
Our import partners Nordic Approach teamed up with Coocentral to source this coffee. Coocentral is the primary cooperative based in central Huila, with nearly 4000 members. Together they have formed a smallholder project with around 70 farmers, involving investment in technical support and training, with the goal of heightening coffee quality and the livelihoods of producers in the region. This microlot is a perfect portrayal of Orlando’s dedication to his work; clean, super sweet with juicy acidity.
